Gangs of New York - 8.7 (Gay movie made by straight men)
The Aviator - 8.8 (This might be the movie most devastated by bizarre 2000s digital color grading. Some outdoor scenes look like they're from the fucking Wizard of Oz.)

House of Wax (the one with Paris Hilton): 6/10 completely unrealistic but oddly inthralling. Hilton is just not attractive outside of her youth, but I could watch things covered in wax and wax melting all day.

nu-dune 9/10 ... but very torn on this. couldn't put up a fight to defend it. almost all points are for immersion. it has some things that actively sucked, and I'll probably never watch it again. but it was a good time.
