..... but you’re not even listening, so I’ll say it again.

I still love drinking but I feel so fucking old and worthless the next day. It zaps all my energy and I don't want to be lazy and lethargic when the kids want to do stuff with me so my solution has just been cutting back except for one day a week, usually. Friday night I do some Zoom trivia with friends and I'll have a couple of tallboys but that's about it. Last year around this time pre-pandemic I was drinking 3-4 days a week but I just can't handle it like that any more.

Maybe it’s also because I have a kid now this year, but anyone not getting blatto at least 2-4 times a week during this fucking terrible shitshow deserves a medal

I think it just makes my depression and anxiety worse when I'm hungover and all the pandemic-related stress and being cooped up together with the family all day every day has me on edge enough, adding a hangover to that just makes it insufferable. I wish the drinking helped because when I'm drinking I feel fucking great, but that next day is even more miserable.

My “sober” days where I have the balls to pat myself on the back are 4-6 beers
