Man... as excited as I am that Volkan Oezdemir even exists, feeding him to DC now is way too early. Also, Gus. Sigh.

I have the same feeling despite only having seen his one fight against Jimi Manuwa which didn't really show Oezdemir's skills (wtf was wrong with Manuwa that day?). Accepting Oezdemir's challenge makes DC look like he's looking for a relatively easy fight instead of possibly getting his ass kicked by Gustaffson...

Hunh. So many questions. Mostly whether I buy that the UFC has ever done, or will ever do, something because of a "medical concern".

Kind of with the UFC on this because you can't say you have CTE symptoms and expect to fight, especially with all the heat the NFL is getting about that. Then again, they had to have known Lesnar was roided up and still let him fight which led to Hunt getting concussed. Hunt can always go fight in Pancrase because they let that fighter, who had to be carried by two people to the scale, still fight.

I don't think it's a bad idea to tell Hunt he shouldn't be fighting anymore, I just question their motives.

I'm watching it right now, but I wasn't home yesterday, completely forgot it was on and then remembered when I saw the results on Facebook. Sigh.

Dude, duuuuuuddddddddddeeeeee. Card delivered. I wish Masvidal was able to get at Wonderboy more but every other fight was amazing. DC yelling THUG ROSE, THUG ROSE had me cracking up. I want to see TJ vs MM soon.....that fight will be ridiculous. I think Bobby Knuckles finishes GSP in 2 or 3 rounds and it won't be pretty.

I'll be the party-pooper, though, and bring this up: how the FUCK is Hendricks still a main card fighter? That was fucking abysmal.

Luckily I was never a fan, so I'm getting kind of a guilty thrill out of watching his decline.

What beautiful poetry you write, sir.

It's true, though. Also, his arms are like the size of what his legs used to be.

I think they just wanted to give that stunningly beautiful Brazilian man that beat him up a basically guaranteed name win over a former champion so they can start using that to market him to the flagging Brazilian market

Agreed. He's like a newer just slightly more handsome Vitor that hasn't been busted yet.

Dude, the Yanks watch this stuff live, not like us.

Anyway, I haven't watched all of it yet, but yeah, seems to have been a good event. Holloway's dismantling of Aldo was pretty brutal.
