1. Dark Eclipse is a sorta table top VR game I got a trial code for from Sony today, it has potential, check it out.

2. Firewall is actually a lot of fun - get in PSVR folks & have a go, I’m looking for a second hand/cheap deal for the gun controller before I get too into it.

3. Spider-Man- it’s...gorgeous (PS4 pro 4K HDR delights)

4. I shouldn’t have started Far Cry 5 before my missus went away for 3 weeks leaving me with 3 kids, I didn’t get much done. It’s big, and also quite gorgeous.

Damn! Spider-Man today, Tomb Raider next week. Yakuza 0 is good and all but I’m thinking I need to put it on hold or restart it again next summer now.

Finished Spider-Man. Overall very good and actually had a great ending. Unfortunately, typical sandbox busy work is prevalent.

Started Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and things were going swimmingly until the game decided it didn’t need to save my game. I caimly just deleted it and will try a month or so from now in hopes final patching avoids further incidents of this kind.

Lord help me, I think it is time to give boy band Final Fantasy a go.

I beat it last weekend on Spectacular difficulty level - I didn’t feel like I had quite enough powers and gadgets til the last 3rd of the game for the combat to match the movement around the city.

I loved that skin too Bill, and the one you get in the final battle is also sick.

Great game. PS4 exclusives piss on Xbox.

Over 30 hours in... this Final Fantasy 15 is unexpectedly addicting. The guys aren’t as fruity as they appear, either. Biggest complaint is that sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes the combat is beyond chotic and some trees or such blocks your dude on top of that. I’m serious. I’ve been more understanding of my environment after drinking a bottle of whiskey than I do during some of these dust ups. Yet, I never die.

I’ve known about it for some time. I’m not a fan of games like Outlast nor those walking simulators, so I’ll wait for a review with actual footage. Plus, I have Red Dead 2, Ass Creed Greece, Fist of the Northstar, and Tomb Raider to get through first.

Yeah, my backlog has taken me away from looking at this & a bit over a week til RD2 means I’m not likey to get to that for a long time. I’ve still got half of Far Cry 5 to play after I did 88% of Spider-Man (cbf doing any more of that for now)

There’s another Lovecraftian game coming out soon as well. Something to do with a flooding city.

I’m milking Final Fantasy 15 till I kill it off Friday. Game gets real dark towards the end. Now, it has a lot of issues I’d call tedious, but in the end I think this style of FF game has a real future. They just need to fully commit to an action RPG and leave behind the shadows of turn based JRPG elements.

There’s been some great stuff this year, but RD2 being able to be played completely in First Person? Sheeet!

Got a Switch a while back, I haven't had Nintendo console since the SNES. I've been playing these games:

Octopath Traveler 7/10 - Great combat system and art style, but not a fan of the story, writing or characters.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild 7/10 - Great game but has a lot of flawed mechanics, combat is very Dark Souls-y but the controls are much more wonky, the camera is sometimes annoying and not being able to quick heal in-game means you're pausing all the time and interrupting the flow. The stuff to do outside the main quests is pretty repetitive.

Super Mario Odyssey 9.5/10 - This is just super fun. The game and level design is incredibly creative and has varied and balanced gameplay. Perfect length, not bloated like Zelda and Octopath. Lots of fantastic endgame content that makes it worth playing long after beating Bowser. Docking half a point for annoying and unnecessary motion control BS for certain moves that could've easily been mapped to a button.

Ha! I’ve been playing Aliens vs Predator 2, that has that. I bought the digital copy as I’m not dealing with scratches or dying disk drives anymore.

I haven’t had anything major I’ve had to do in sometime, yet my friend desides to come into town now when there’s finally a game out I just want to play instead of doing anything. Friggin’ asshole.

First Person most assuredly makes Red Dead 2 harder, but what wonderful immersion. I’ve seen footage of the bar fight in third person in reviews, and first is so much better. Yet, first on horse back isn’t optimal for a video game like this. So, I Halo it. 1st on foot 3rd on “ vehicles”.

I'm kind of out of video games at the moment anyway, but tbqh my disappointment from Red Dead 1 still stings so much that I really can't get excited about a sequel.
