Skies of Arcadia is awesome as fuck
EGG is a fan-fucking-tastic game
Phantasy Star Online holds up
Grandia 2... ok, it's not good but it's miles better than Evolution
Silver, also not good, but better than Evolution

Time Stalkers is the only RPG on the Dreamcast that is worse than Evolution...

(i haven't played Record of Lodoss War or Dragonriders)
fffffffffffffuck man you liked EGG better than Evolution? And Grandia 2... ok?!

My worldview has just been completely shattered.

Grandia 2 for Dreamcast was an excellent game. I think Zombiehead doesn't get perspective on these games since he plays a lot it seems years after release.

What is the best way to deal with riot shield dudes in Uncharted 2? As of now I'm running around just to get leg and arm shots.

By the way, aside from unlimited ammo are any of the bonuses worth it?

Nothing about Grandia 2 is technically impressive and there's nothing to original about it either. What perspective about it would anyone need? I was playing N64, Saturn and PS1 rpgs back then that blew Grandia 2 the fuck out of the water, and alot of them looked better too.

I played more rpgs than you ever will, so shut your fat whore mouth. I've probably been playing RPGs longer than you too.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went to the game store here and all I saw were like 400 copies of NFL 2K and other sports games so far. I didn't have enough time to look through all of their dreamcast stuff but I'm assuming there's some gems in there.

I did pick these up though to finally pretty much put an end to my essential SNES game collection, though I still need a shit ton more Genesis games.

Super Mario Kart
Super Ghouls n Ghosts
Gradius 3
NBA Jam Tournament Edition
Ghouls n Goblins
Rocket Knight Adventures

All ran me about 40 bucks.

Having trouble getting into Just Cause 2. Shooting mechanics are from the ps1 era, vehicles controls are wonky at best, enemy alert levels take so long to go down I actually get hesitant to blow up govt targets like gas stations. Half the time when I use the grappling hook I end up under a ledge so I have to drop down and try again, a pain when I'm under fire. I really hope more explosives get unlocked because right now all I have are wimpy hand grenades. Did three stronghold missions, all identical. The mission with the limo was frustrating like a bad ps2 GTA flashback. Won't mention the voice acting or cut scenes.

my thoughts on just cause 2 were: if you felt inclined to play it just have fun with the demo for its entirety (30 mins) and that's all you need. saves you $60

Hmmm...that's sad to hear. I had a blast with the JC2 demo! I still need to play Heavy rain, though, so I wasn't like running to the store to buy it. I'll just rent it, I guess.

Are you implying that 90% of open world games are boring? Where's your sense of adventure??

Beat Final Fantasy XIII, aside from II and V might be the weakest entry in series.

V is weak? Fuck. I just got that. I heard the job system was awesome.

Played the Just Cause 2 demo. I don't know what you whiners are talking about. Once you get a handle on the controls it's awesome. I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it... but once the used prices drop to 30 bucks or so this would be an awesome deal.

Probably missed this a few pages back but did anyone play the Splinter Cell demo? I don't know. I'm definitely not paying full price but something felt off. It seems almost too slick and the aiming is garbage.

Still haven't played the JC2 demo. Gotb is spot on with sandbox games. I get about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through and lose interest, unless it's GTA. Happened to Saint's Row, Crackdown, Infamous and had to force myself to finish Prototype.

Edit: Just read the Western release of "Fist of the North Star" is getting more violence. :awesome: Finally, a Japanese developer that gets it. How is this anime movie? I pretty much have zero interest in anime, would this be worth a watch or don't bother?

Tried and failed twice to get through V. The job system is good and that's about it. Took me a while to realise it as I loved I, IV and VI.

Just Cause 2 isn't getting any better either. I think the only sandbox game I've actually beaten was Infamous.

i like just cause 2 quite a bit but i'm playing it on pc. mouseaim is nice. also there's BoloPatch, which is like a mini Garry's Mod for this game. invincible, unlimited ammo, unbreakable rope, infinite ropes...
