Well, so far, the original isn’t fit it lick the shit that falls from the sequel’s horses’ asses. Chapter 3 alone was more game than most games. Please note, though, I’m not rushing through the main missions. Fuck “Fashion Souls” Fashion Red Dead is where it’s at.

Let’s see:

Red Dead 2 ended up being totally rad, perhaps even wicked boss.

Aliens vs Predator 2 kept crashing at the same place so fuck that.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is super neato, but I’m still working through it.

Might replay Heavy Metal Fakk 2 again for the first time in years. It’s also the only game I have left that I need a physical disk to play on the PC.

I’ve been playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (with restored content) for the first time. Very good.

I also tried Just Cause 3, but it’s so shallow I lost interest fast.

I’m getting old and prefering story and such over action.

Replayed and beat Gunman Chronicles, a PC first person shooter from 2000 that started life as a Half-Life mod. I thought it was a mess back then, but compared to alot of more modern FPSers I ended up having a better time with it. Poor textures, questionable item placement, and horrendous ending aside, I’m glad I replayed it. It didn’t hurt that I remember nothing from the 2000 play through, so it was like playing it for the first time.

Still getting through Star Wars KOTOR 2. Somebody needs to get with it and make a third one, even if they can’t get the Star Wars license and create a whole new universe.

Next old game I’ll replay is Half-Life Opposing Forces.

Need to choose a new game as well.

After an eternity I’ve finally played through and beat both Star Wars Dark Forces II and the original Quake for the first time ever. Video game bucket list type waiz....

....is this the final post of this thread?

I just noticed Geoff deleted all of his posts.

The End?

Heroes of Might and Magic is the most crushingly difficult soul-breaking shit ever made in history.
I fucking loved these games as a kid, and it's super brutal to come back and discover my adult mind is only barely more capable.

It's not fair that I can't instantly enjoy an army of skeleton ghouls for 3 hours without ever being irritated, or encountering occasional setbacks.

Let me know how it differs from Dark Souls & Bloodborne. I’m playing a different game with samurai swords in it. It’s called Daikatana and it will make you it’s bitch. Seriously, with the unofficial patch 1.3 its not bad at all.

P.S. finally played and beat Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines, and outside of some funky combat it was AMAZING.

I like it so far, but I also haven't seen enough to have an informed opinion. It's been a couple hours and the game hasn't even shown me the skills mechanic yet that I know is there. Looks nice, though, and I like how smoothly it handles compared to the Souls games, at least on PC at 60fps.

Bought bootlegs of the following unaffordable SNES games for a tenner each:
- Turtles in Time: played it a million times as a kid and it's still a lot of fun. Great sound design, punches sound meaty, and fluid gameplay - it's not that varied, but it's a belt scroller, so that's cool (and you get a fuckton of different Foot Clan soldiers).
- Skyblazer: reminds me of the venerable Ghouls'n Ghosts: great pixel graphics, you die a lot until you figure the levels out, nice music. Looking forward to playing some more.
- Nightmare Busters: very arcade-y run'n gun. Wonderful graphics, totally shitty "either you know something is coming and you're standing at exactly the right spot or you die"-gameplay so far.
- WIld Guns: seems to have been damaged during shipping, seller will send me another one.

I also got Micky Mouse 1 & 2, Aladdin and Super Puyo Puyo 1 & 2 from Japan, but they haven't arrived yet...

Well, Sekiro is certainly doing to me what every Souls game has done before it in that I'm stuck at the generic castle level and not making much progress because I need to figure shit out.

Also, the Demon's Souls crow sound effect is in this game, and I'm pretty sure I found its version of Patches today. No sign of Sparkly the Crow yet, but I did pick up a coin purse in a bird's nest on a roof, so there's that.

You are not alone friend. I just got the sword of kings in Earthbound - end of a 20-year journey.

I don't play games as much as some of you guys, but when I do it's probably 90% emulation.
I'm actually more into emulation than gaming at this point - a lot of what I do is fuss with my various gadgets and retro-setups.

I was one of those guys with a massive collection of old games for many years, sold most of it off in 2016.

What do you get up to?

I'm currently budgeting my meager allowance to buy two of these when they drop... they have a similar model now, but I want those wing-pad things because I have brittle weak little thumbs
