I have all of my stuff backed up on multiple internal and external drives. Had way too many of the fucking things die on me. Never buying Seagate ever again. Their drives are shit!

Seagate update the firmware on their drives regularly. If you'd bothered to look it up you probably could have installed a firmware patch and had a fully functioning drive for quite a while longer.
