i really like the motor city brewery by my house, but mostly because their cider is the most amazing cider i have ever tasted, and they instantly pour me a glass when i walk in. i don't generally see any cute boys there, and they don't have a jukebox either. but their cider and pizza makes up for it, and sometimes i get the soup of the day, which is always awesome.

recently my roomie took me and a friend to a place closer to downtown called foran's, aka grand trunk railroad, and they have a crusty-ish bartender who is pretty cute and fun to talk with, they also play some good tunes and they have a lot of good stuff on tap.

i miss living near Dots in SE Portland. Usually have a good time there. Going there tonight for a friend's birthday actually, but i'm gonna have to leave before midnight just to be able to get home. Living eight blocks away sure was nice.

Can think of a couple bars that used to be nearby that i'm kinda glad are gone.....

Yeah. It's a pretty cool spot. We'll have to go down there sometime. Kevin works at that New Season's store right by there too.

I took care of two of those this weekend. Went to The Know on Friday night for Thrones and Christian Mistress. Great fucking show and saw lots of good folk that I haven't seen in a while. Went to Concordia Ale House for breakfast yesterday with the old lady and my old singer. They have Nostradamus on tap right now and my favorite bartender/waitress who was working always serves me Belgians in an imperial pint glass. The country fried steak is always a winner.
