I don't wanna knock it that much because I understand they are trying to do something more than just traditional rock songs but at the same time it's not like they are gonna give people AIDS if they write a catchy riff or 2.

I wanted to like this band but I just can't get past how unlistenable they are.

granted 'none so vile' is considered their best one by many the songwriting is kind of lacking, the musicianship more than makes up for it IMO

i think the music on whisper supremacy is a bit better than none so vile, but the vocals wear pretty thin.

sam is right though. nsv is really sloppy, but the riffs are great.

I can tolerate it because first his vocals are so low in the mix and his lyrics are so far and few between that you could almost consider 75% of the album insturmental.

i didn't mean it as a bad thing, but there's nothing wrong with a band that's extremely tight. it's bad when a band relies on protools to sound good, but if they're natually that tight it's even better.

the time i saw cryptopsy they were so sloppy it sounded like completely shit. not sloppy in a good way either.
