Everything that TITD have done rules in my book, some records less than others (though if you hate Kiss the Pig you can eat a dick, that record is awesome) but every album has at least a handful of great songs.

And even though I'm not the biggest Kurt Ballou fan, I for one an extremely excited that he is producing the new one. Steve can still write a mean song but his production skills are garbage. And the bassist and drummer are dudes from Wetnurse? Fucking WORD.

that's my problem with those albums too. part of TITD's charm to me is how all over the place they can be at times. i guess that's why i'm ok with Sadness being 2 discs- it's a hot sloppy mess with some real bright spots and i like that
