I'll step up as the guy with the worst taste on this page:
Symphony rules, but this album has always been pretty boring to me. Not terrible. Some songs are fun, but most of this is bland.
I liked this when I was younger, but it does nothing for me now. I still LOVE grindcore and it's the genre I listen to most, but I could easily live without ever hearing this album again. No surprises. A bunch of lead-ins to hold your hand so you know what to expect. Long songs. Two or three riffs on a 36-minute album are just not worth the listen for me.
With however many grind bands I can listen to now, I'm not going to put the progenitors on an underserved pedestal. I still listen to old Napalm Death and Repulsion because those songs are GOOD. This, well...

None So Vile is a decent album nearly ruined by abysmal vocals. I'll never understand why anyone ever thought Lord Worm was worth a shit.

I think it was because he reminded people of Paul Bearer from WWF
he really seemed like a reanimated ghoul doing the best he could to remember what it was like to have a soul
his onstage banter was so strange... like every time a metal or hard rock act would come around, I'd hear the singer say shit like "Hey Philly... I heard you guys like it hot... so here's one called BURNED ALIVE BY ZOOOMMMBEEEIIGHS!" and they'd growl the last part as the song started to play.
Then another band would come along and the singer would do a Q and A session with the crowd like, "Hey you motherfuckers do you like metal?" and then we would all go yeah but it was never lough enough to hear for some reason so he'd ask it again, so he'd say "I COULDN'T HEAR YOU YOU WERENT BRUTAL ENOUGH DO YOU MOTHERFUCKERS LIKE FUCKING HEAVY FUCKING METAL" and we'd have to go "Yeah!" again to reassure him that he had booked the correct venue, and then after he was satisfied that we were all as a group actually interested in hearing a heavy metal song he'd go "THATS WHAT I'M FUCKIN TALKIN ABOUT PHILLY, GET READY FOR A HEAVY METAL SONG" and then they'd play the song

I was trying to listen to that necrophagist the other day and it board me after like two songs.
None so vile is good stuff but not this end all be all it's made out to be. As far as worms vox They are an acquired taste but their off kilteredness and phrasing makes them special

my friend and i have been geeking out Necrophagist's "Epitaph" over this weekend. it's a near perfect album [that 'Prokofiev' part ruins it for me]. One of the most underrated features on this album are the monotonous vocals - they're enunciated very well and at the same time very guttural. They're not flashy but that's the purpose because the music is.
One of the catchiest albums ever. Fuck you fuckers for hating on this.

I like that album ALOT (same for Eyes of God)... but I admit, seeing them live kind of made me more open to the whole discography. TITD is one of those bands that transcend live... feel like Napalm Death like that too.
