Were you in da OC back then?
Nope. Just thoroughly enjoyed 18 Visions. But living near Nashville, I've seen some terrible metalcore roll through that town.

the guy on Burn Notice looks like the kid that sang for 18 V

everytime it comes on

"I'm Michael Weston, I used to sing for 18 visions. . .then I was a spy"

Dragbody didn't translate that well to record but live they were pretty well slaying. I'd reunion them.

Do people consider Indecision to be just hardcore? I could get along with some Indecision if we shared an elevator.

Training For Utopia were fucking awesome (even with that clusterfuck of a final album)

hell, there used to be a few good christian metalcore bands

but now there's only the Chariot

and I can't believe someone else remembers the Hostage Heart. They were fun.

(so, who DIDN'T hate 7 Angels 7 Plagues?)

I saw the Hostage Heart with Bloodjinn at the Muse in Nashville in like 04. Show was supposed to start at 8 but everyone was late so we stayed until 2 to see Bloodjinn. Hostage Heart was the best band on that lineup.

Has The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza been mentioned yet?

Norma Jean is still around aren't they? I happened to see The Chariot OPEN for Norma Jean (which lead to Norma Jean doing all the songs off their first album with their original singer) and pleasantly surprised by that show.

That last album they did wasn't very good.....the one before that Steve Albini produced had some of their best shit though.

To me they sound somewhere in between metalcore and powerviolence.....I remember people calling them "poser violence" because of it.

they're like a cross between orchid and spazz, but that's a pretty far cry from Unearth

They get lumped into that awkward genre known as EMOVIOLENCE (I shit you not. Look it up.) Union of Uranus gets dropped in there, but I don't really know why.

Because neither are "metalcore", especially HHIG.

i have all of those records you posted, except EE, because they're gay

the band that lives at my house reminds me of Remains of the Day, without the violins.

Danza is my shit, bro.
Their guitarist was in a band called When Knives Go Skyward (imagine if the Deftones made an entire album that sounded like Hexagram/Rats Rats Rats).

Norma Jean are a nu metal band nowadays. I'm convinced Josh left that band because he didn't wanna make pop songs.

I was listening to All Else Failed tihs morning, because a certain goalkeeper caused that song "the hutton play" to get stuck in my head.

"YOU DROPPED IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!"
