It sucks that Kerry intentionally quieted the drums on the mix to be a dick to Dave, because otherwise that would be a perfect live album. It still rules but I just wish the drums had balls.

That was my thought too. I haven't listened to anything new by them since Disconnected back in 2000. Makes me want to listen to some of the other more recent albums and see if I've missed anything.

The last one before it with the orgami bird cover, darkness in different light is really really great stuff (I dig it morer than Disconnected..), though its not as "heavy" as the newest... Lucky got to see them on that tour....saw 'em a few times on disconnected too, seems like just yesterday damn

I love that song so much

too bad nothing else of theirs really lands (a few other songs on that album are good, but otherwise...?)

I have tried so hard to enjoy more of their output but I feel the exact same way. It's like they wrote one perfect metal anthem that also encapsulates everything great about their sound, and then the rest is just kind of there. I do like Spirit The Earth Aflame a lot as an album, but there's no standout song that blows everything else away quite like this one.
