james did say something derogatory about VS but totally backed that album in the ensuing discussion

and maybe this is not pertinent, but...

Very little in this world more precious to me than music constructed with machines. If I were to sit down and list all my favorite tracks, I'm betting that a significant chunk of them would probably be at least partially break-centered.

I do lose patience as a listener with guys like Funk though, and the millions of other people who do things similar to what he does. t's difficult to pinpoint exactly where my interest drops off. There are a LOT of people out there just making lazy, irritating noises and uploading it to the internet as 'breakcore'.

I'm not sure if I can explain my perspectives properly or responsibly.

I don't really know much about this stuff but the album I initially brought up registers as an blatant classic and the in-genre consensus seems similar:

the Hajnal song is linked via annotations and is my favorite if you don't have time for an album

I'm going to need like three days to prepare a post about the word 'genre' in the international EDM community

please note that all of those with the exception of shitmat would probably cause an EDM community to shit themselves if you called them breakcore

but if ross is looking for more like rossz, it's a start

dude, I've been trying to remember the name of this group for so long... I remember coming across their myspace so many years ago and I immediately fell in love. For the past year or so it's been bothering the fuck out of me, I couldn't remember the name at all. Finally, here it is. Fucking finally. :pizza: :brokenheart:

edit: actually it was Whourkr that I was thinking of, but the same dude.

Shitmat is the last thing to come to mind when I think "top notch". His shittiness is endearing though...Enduser, on the other hand, rules. Run War is a mandatory classic.

This stuff is all old already, kind of makes me think the genre's best times have already come and gone. I probably just need to start paying attention to it again. Anyway...

shitmat is basically the grindcore of this genre and is charming/stupid for the same reasons

edit: two stupid wordfilters in two posts :fp:

Do you have a 3DS?
No. I will get one eventually.

I've absolutely exhausted the Nintendo DS library - I mean really literally exploited the entire spectrum of gaming for the platform, which is quite expansive. In the past 9 years of my life I have almost never not had a DS nearby on onhand.

Love the little guy to death but I'm a bit numb to it all by now - and so far, most of the attractive 3DS titles just look like slightly shinier DS fare. The RPGs and adventure games look good, but not substantially different from what I'm already fairly fatigued by. I feel the same way about the Wii U.

I think the time has come to go into seclusion from the console world for a little while and let the good stuff pile up while prices drop. I'll jump back in sometime and see what they've left for me.

Hi James, long time listener first time caller. The cheapest I can find Wind Waker is $45. Is it worth $45 ?

Also, Wii modding. Do the emulated games compare to the quality of virtual console games, or should I just shell out the cash when it's just $5-10 ?

Emulating is 10000% better than stupid virtual console.

VC games are just emulated roms anyway, but without all the awesome features of emulation.

Just don't buy VC games. I can't even explain all the reasons. Just don't. Mod your fuckin wii and play every game ever made with zillions of options winch improve everything.

I wouldn't pay that much for Wind Waker unless you want it for your collection... you could just download the iso and play it for free if you mod your Wii.

everybody

mod your fucking consoles

stop fucking around

do waht i say

Wind Waker is an awesome game. Some of the best Zelda music is in that game. D ragon Roost Island sonfg is my favorite Zelda song ever.

Although, at the end of the game, I always find myself wanting to ride Epona through the plains of Hyrule. Still a good game.

Edited becaue of dumb wordfilter
