This episode was really terrible and felt like a Hershel's farm quagmire episode. I had a lot of good will starting out as the first four episodes were pretty awesome except the cheap Glenn misdirection at the end of episode 3, which would have been fine if this episode kicked off with more zombie herding and wolf war action instead of all these poorly written conversations. I hope Glenn is dead, the stalling "is he dead or not?" story doesn't work, the only reason the audience doesn't know is because they were vague in how the scene was shot and edited. I also hope Maggie's baby dies in the womb and becomes a zombie that bursts through her stomach like a xenomorph. At this point "they love each other!!" is their only character trait and they already separated them as a plot device last season.

I'd rather see a non-serialized case-of-the-week zombie show about Carol wandering the wasteland dispensing brutal, relentless justice to evil people like the Terminus assault and the defense against the Wolves, where each episode is just an excuse to display different action set pieces. Less talk, more action. I wonder what variations of the "Everything is too awful / No! We have to hold on!"-conversation we're going to get next week.

After episode 1 which was probably the worst of the series, we got episodes 2 and 3 which were OK.

Then we got episode 4 which will turn out to be 90 minutes of pointless backstory. What a waste of fucking time that was.

This weeks episode was terrible. Nothing happened. Too much talking and crying and emotions and bad attempts at character building. The constant shots of 'crazy' Deanna who no one really cares about.

Glenn is obviously not dead, and they think making people wait is going to make people anxious. Dumb.

Daryl is getting paid a whole lot of money to be on screen for a total of 5 minutes so far in the whole season.

This is going to turn into season 2.

Agreed.

Next episode's gonna have most of him in it, from previews.

Pretty useless to shoot it in that little pond, they couldn't find anything better?

Decent episode. Things move ahead without dragging for 2/3 episodes. But now that all of this has suddenly happened, I fear they'll slow things down.

I was so happy about that entire family.

Wasn't so happy about the zombies just walking into that fire like assholes. I know they're dumb but that just seemed too convenient.

Seeing that fucking kid eaten alive got me fist pumping and going "yessss!" I was hoping the priest would get himself and the baby killed too

The investment in this show is basically hating people and then getting payoffs when they die horribly

Prediction for next episode: After Michonne blows Carl, Muppet Baby Zakk Wylde tells Rick he is from the Matrix and offers him a red or blue pill. Rick takes the red pill and goes his own way, finding a basement to live in by himself and spends the rest of his life scavenging for anime tapes he watches on his TV/VCR/Car battery combo while clutching his fuckable Sailor Moon pillow.

Michone's prolly gonna die by the end of the season or end of the next mid-season because that's what usually happens with Rick's love interests.

LOL, that was what they said on Talking Dead.

I am excited with Jesus arrival and the trailer for next week looking like a pretty much frame for frame lead up to the next part of TWD universe.

Season should have started with the last three episodes...

it was a v. silly episode? but like, that's fine; too much gravity is almost worse than too little

liked the reintroduction of personhood to the walkers, it was oddly touching for being the seventy thousandth time that trope has been brought out

supporting cast on this show has glimmers of real quality to it, this season, that most of the others have not. doctor girl and dead guest wolf guy come to mind. the dude who was from true detective that was the mechanic/relative of ledeux who made a short appearance in this season of WD was better than your average doomed guy. the scene, between redneck cross bow guy and doctor about getting soda had something interesting and uncharacteristic to it that all the high drama and action do not have at all..

jesus guy is very hard to look at and instantly grating on the mind. really debating putting him in the faces you hate thread

Red haired broad might have been one of the most irritating characters on a show I've seen in forever. I don't think I've been that annoyed since the Ally McBeil days. I better not see that actress again, if she knows what's good for her Image

Something bad is gonna happen to Carol. First she shows her liking for that one guy at the camp, then she grows soft and gets captured and now she's beginning to have some doubt over whatever badassery Rick and crew need to take up.
