Best episode of the entire series. I really hope this isn't the end, but I'm satisfied if it is.
Oh, how I have loved this cartoon.

I think they tried to 'end' everything they could just in case, while treating every element as delicately as possible, so that they could re-open plot lines if they get picked up again for another season or a few DVDs or whatever. I really wouldn't mind if they just did a Futurama-style movie or two. I just don't know if I'm ready for this shit to be over :(

I just finished watching it and, while I've given up on the series being as funny as it was two seasons ago, I was blown away by the story. The episode was well worth the 45 minutes and the story really did a lot with tying up loose ends as opposed to how some of the earlier episodes this season hobbled the story by tying the Venture universe all together. The ending with Brock racing back to the compound with Pulp in the background was very, very well done.

I think another season will come out, but this episode honestly helped me accept the possible end of the Venture Bros. in a good way. They will never go on the same Johnny Quest adventures like they did early on, and the plot can only twist and the characters can metamorphose only so many times before the story becomes stale. There is a little life left, and this finale (plus the two episodes before it) really gave me hope for newer Venture Bros.

Also, Mol isn't necessarily dead. Neither are Monstroso, Doe, and Cardholder. No dead bodies shown.

I would be completely fine with the series ending on this kind of high note. Nothing really needs to go past four seasons, but I could see these guys pulling it off if they re-tooled things and came back with a different kind of Venture Bros. Regardless, everything got tied up in a neat enough way that it could easily return and if it doesn't they still serve as good endings with a question mark. The prom ending really hammered home the point that it's always gonna be kind of the same around the Venture Compound, but the post-credits call that into question.

And the end of the credits say "The Venture Bros. will return...", so we'll see.

The one thing that struck me about the post-credits scene is how Dean's selfish reaction to the Outrider sets up his transformation into Dr. Venture. Maybe Dean will become more brash in upcoming episodes.

The part I absolutely loved was when Brock bursts through the door, sees everything at the prom is quiet and peaceful, and his face falls in disappointed dejection. Then as the "escorts" transform into monsters, the look of bloodlusting glee on his face was perfect... similar to the look on my face during that entire A+++ episode. :moreawesome:

If there is another season, I'd very much like it to be Brock-centric, with the Ventures et al playing supporting roles. Not likely, but so long as Mr. Sampson isn't forgotten, I'll be happy.

I got a little emotional during the Brock/Mol exchange through the broken windshield as the car dangled over the cliff. His balls will be forever blue.

Also, Col. Gentleman building a model ship, complete with a lot of drowning people, on a dog's back might be the single weirdest thing they've ever put in the show.

gotta love a show where they reference Andrea Dworkin and Are You Afraid of the Dark? in the span of ten minutes.

Oh, how I have loved this cartoon.
Well, ten years later... looks like the show is finally over.
I hope they get to make one special, or movie, to wrap the story up.
Some seasons ended 'neatly', this past one didn't... it would be incredibly cruel to cut it short now, right as it was truly ending.

I haven't loved many things in life as much as I loved this series.

Im going to make an album of instrumental music to try and raise awareness of the incomplete and highly renewable Venture Bros series.
