While Phantom Menace does aim for a broader demographic -- kids aged around 8 and up, both have roots in a comic book mentality. There were two chapter serials featuring Batman in the 1940's. Both were released as summer tentpoles. And while Dark Knight aimed for an older audience, one can't help but look at the final product and wish that it was as smart as Phantom Menace.

I can't get with Chicago square cut thin crust pizza, I always have to get it pie cut, because I really really hate middle pieces.
