It’s basically Lone Wolf and Cub lite reskinned with Star Wars insignia so of course that part of its magic trick works on me

The part that I find truly upsetting is how i see right through how transparently BABY YODA is the end result of decades of focus groups and research on what is most cute and heartstring-pulling to the human psyche, but IT STILL WORKS ON ME.

The last episode of Mandalorian almost makes up for all the crap leading up to it.

The Mandalorian Season 1 - 7

closest nonsense ive seen that captures the dusty unwashed awesomeness of Star Wars before it became A New Hope.

That was a Scout Trooper. I googled it. But I really hoped he had punched that thing to death.

By the way, how is it that the market wasn't completely flooded with Baby Yoda merch this Christmas? Is Disney losing its touch?

The first episode came too late to get the merch in time for Christmas sales, and they didn't want the merch to be a spoiler.

They also didn't anticipate the number of memes.

So bad coordination and a complete failure to anticipate audience reaction to the oldest Star Wars money-grubbing ploy in the franchise's history, put cute critter in story so people will buy toys of it.

What's also hilarious is that when I went to see Rise of Skywalker here, they showed an ad for Disney+ before the movie telling everyone that it would finally be available next year so they could watch The Mandalorian. Yeah, like literally everyone in that theater hadn't already downloaded the show illegally. They really are losing it.

Witcher 1 - 5/10

Obviously made for fans of the books/games, since there was zero setup (no character introductions, no rules of the fictional world, etc.), so non-fans had to put those world pieces together as the episodes racked up. And it was a tad annoying that the show kept bouncing around the timeline with no warning. And the less said about Superman's ridiculous wig, the better. But there a good show in there somewhere... maybe they'll find it next time around... (more monster fights, hint hint...)

Lost in Space 2 - 5/10

There's a good show here as well, you just have to shovel away the tons of (highly) questionable science, bad bad bad decision making, and enough melodrama to fill a galaxy. Ehhh...

I saw the first episode of The Witcher. I liked how nothing made any sense and everyone was miserable. Is this a sequel to a PS3 game?
