Diagnosis - 7

Succession S1 - 8.5/10 - Sometimes it's a little bit too much "say something vulgar to say something vulgar" and Kieran Culkin really embraces being an annoying asshole.

stranger things S3 - this really turned it around. episode 1 blew and so did 6 (?) but overall this was soooo much better than S2. the creature effects were really solid, too - first CGI thing I've seen that delivered that sort of vibe. just like S1, though, this should be the last season.

I started rewatching that last year, and I was really looking forward to it, but tbqh it hasn't aged well. The slump in the middle where it's really just a 60s soap opera is fucking brutal. I'm at the start of season 6 now where it gets good again, and some of that is just as fantastic as I remember it being, but I really forgot how terrible it got halfway in. Just pointless, boring, look at our vintage wallpaper and also wow fashion.

I’ve been meaning to get to season 2, but I cannot fathom how they could continue it, as one wrapped up so nice. I’ve seen too many forced multiple seasons of shows where one or two should have sufficed.

Dark Crystal - 11/10

Mind blown by the attention to detail and grand scale of this production... and the fact that CG was limited to cleaning up frames, removing puppeteers, adding backgrounds, that sort of thing. The story could be total shit and I'd still give it am 11... thankfully, that is not the case. Highly recommended.

The Boys - Was expecting it to be tryhard edgelord shit, but it turned out okay, and not nearly as edgy as I was imagining. Of the current based on Garth Ennis comics shows, it has far superior pacing to Preacher. 8/10

Preacher - Well, it's officially ogre, and i'm sure me and the five other people who watched are a little bit sad. Veered off from the comics early on, and definitely had lots of spots where the pacing was painfully slow. But it also had it's moments. I enjoyed Hitler and Herr Starr. Some pretty good acting all around. And some funny gags. The one where God kills dinosaurs because a dino ate it's own shit made me laugh like an idiot. 7/10

Killjoys - Another series I followed from the pilot that is now over. The pilot is schlocky as fuck and I was not sol on the show, but I kept coming back, and it improved. It became a really good sci-fi show in it's own right, in my opinion. Likeable characters, fun plots. Gonna kinda miss it tbh. 8.5/10

I like that Creepshow TV show thus far. More like a big budget Tales from the Darkside than Tales from the Crypt.
