Yeah, watched it on a whim, glad I did. Just hope everything doesn’t explode at the end.

mostly through the first episode of The Expanse. when exactly does this get good? I don't think I have the patience to wait until the end of the first season or anything after that.

Picard was okish. Will check out 2nd episode.

Story was fine, action scenes fuckin sucked.
Being forgiving because trek always seemed rough around the edges to me.

I've said it time and time again, and have allowed myself to attempt to understand it with age, however I have come to the conclusion that I will never, ever get why people like Star Trek so much. Hell, at all even...

Agreed. Reznor also does a pretty damn good job with the soundtrack, leaving me satisfied when realizing some of my public broadcast taxbux eventually trickled down to him.

Last night on SNL a guy in stormtrooper armor did the DEEZ NUTS joke on Adam Driver. Significance?

Preacher: Cassidy was good, and there were some memorable fight scenes, but most everything else was meh. I did like TV Tulip better than book Tulip though, that was unexpected. Fanboy service and original book referencing are played out and dumb now, so it's okay to go full mainstream and leave all that behind, especially after Watchmen and the Boys, which both benefit greatly from getting past it.

Attack on Titan never ceases to amuse with its vulgar caricatures of white people.

Four eps into the Wu-tang saga, and don't want it to end ever. Good mix of show styles, it's like the Wire crossed with the Get Down, for the early days at least.

Love Death and Robots ist current fave. Heavy Metal lives again! Can't wait for the next season.

I thought the same re: that deez nutz joke - has to be a coincidence?

and yeah I've enjoyed nearly every one of the LSR shorts I've seen, although the vampires vs cats one and android city tours were weak. no real complaints - very glad a second season is happening

War of the Worlds (BBC) - Meh. Carnage comes to stodgy olde England and it's not satisfying. Too much focus on the drama and acting.
War of the Worlds (FX/French) - A little less meh. It's atmospheric and the minimalism is nice, but it still gets boring.
