Yeah, I should get that for the kids’ Switch, so that they can see what a bad video game time really is. Getting mad at Roblox and such... sheeeeeet!

I can't really see this being better on PC than the original with the mods everyone has, but if it's at least as good, then it'll be nice to know I don't have to worry about the mods eventually not working anymore.

And I'll probably get it on PS4 and platinum it again.

Despite it being among my favourite games, I really don't feel like I need to play Dark Souls again. For at least a few years.

I've been feeling the itch lately, so the timing's pretty good for me.

Yeah, once it's safe to travel to the UK again. Haha.

Also, should we revive the Demon's Souls thread for the remake?

Without ‘cubes and the gang hanging out anymore is it even worth it. Personally, I don’t plan any getting another console (Sony or otherwise) for the rest of my life expect as an end of generation pick up when everything is cheap and ironed out. And only then if it had super duper exclusives. PC now has Halo and a couple of one time PS exclusives. So, it’s up to you.

I did a Dark Souls remake dex-build playthrough earlier this year and struggled for the first day to find my footing, then just absolutely massacred everything I came across. It was definitely the most satisfying playthrough of the game I've had besides the very first one where everything was discovery and magic and amazing and took like three weeks. There's something deeply gratifying in running through this game in particular as an avatar of destruction, switching strategies seamlessly and dealing shocking levels of damage to all foes.

My favorite DS moment of all time was when I dropped down to fight the Four Kings near the end of my platinum run. I used to be terrified of this fight and basically cheesed it everytime, but that last time I just landed in full Darkwraith gear with the Uchi and no shield and just ran straight at the first one the second I could. It's so silly, but I almost still get goosebumps thinking about it now. No other game does this.

Anyone recommend this over the original? I replayed it when it was announced, which prompted me to play DS2 and 3 again, then I finally jumped into Sekiro, and now I'm on the DS remaster, and I'm finding it my favorite as far as souls "vibe" out of the 5 games. Moving to Bloodborne again soon. No interest in a PS5 though. That remake looks to slick and bright to me. No new content = not worth it.
