Love the new album. Definitely more 'rock' but still Rome through and through. Ranked above Hell Money fwiw.

I haven't been in a very ROME mood lately, but I've still managed to listen to this one a few times. I think it's really solid! I think it's a bit timeless, like it could fit into any place in their mid/late discog. and in that sense, it feels like an album I could give to someone who's never heard the band and instantly familiarize them with what they're all about. he's been so damn productive that I can't really say that these are the best songs he's done, so I have mixed feelings. it might have felt like an essential album if it was the first stuff I'd heard!

is this the first LP of theirs that doesn't have a dozen tracks?

Yeah still loving this (minus that bonus track yikes). And I think you're right, every one but this has been 12 tracks. Even the Rhodesia bonus disc was 12. :shock:

I still haven't listened to this thing... the two singles are good. I'll track this down soon.



I think they'll likely tour the US soon.
