this commercial always reminds me of the best story. i guess my uncle went to a special athletes thing for whatever reason, probably to get drunk under the bleachers. in any case when they had two of them race they were worried they would bump into each other if running next to one another so they had them at opposite ends of the track with the finish line in the middle instead. at the finish line they both just ran face first into each other and my uncle lost his mind. i wish so bad i was there for that, not to see them crash into each other necessarily but just to see my uncle lose his shit

last time i saw thrones was like that only it seemed like more than half the crowd were people in 'going out' clothes nodding knowingly at each other and smiling at nothing and pointing at stuff in exaggerated ways like they were all in some big improv sketch. guys throwing up 'the horns' while making a perfect O with the thumb and middle two fingers and the horns were all limp, while sticking their tongue out

Forever ago there was an Inquisition(when they were still a sketchy ug band)/Rites of thy Dergingolade show here set up by a Blasphemy guy and some wag thought it was hilarious to pull that shit IN A FUCKING LONGHAIR WIG right in front of the stage.
A bouncer tapped him on the shoulder and explained to him that there were people there that would murder him if he didn't knock it off, with the implication that the bouncer wouldn't lift a finger. He knocked it off.

When I saw wovenhand there was a hipster DJ afterwards, and the bar was packed with inordinately tall people in "going out clothes", such as a couple in matching denim overall-shorts, that were packed in front of stage doing mockery dancing, talking super loud, and constantly taking selfies and I couldn't see or hear wovenhand.
I wish I had been wearing a suicide vest.

hatred surge played with mammoth grinder in san diego once and a massive pile of hipsters showed up for some fucking reason. they were all like 18 years old and just the worst people that you could imagine. during hatred surge they were dancing ironically right up front and i fucking lost my shit. just ran up and threw every single one to the ground on top of one another. it was the best stack of people ever. for some reason the old 'pick up the guy who fell' pit instinct kicked in and i helped them up, realizing a second later what i was doing just put them back in the mound of shit they were in. my friends told me later that they all moved to the back and kept dancing where i couldnt see them. that shit still pisses me off

It was obvious that the crowd of freakishly tall hip people in going out clothes resented having to put up with woven hand playing before the DJ, BUT they still had to act out in front of the stage so to be the center of attention instead of just lurking until it was over.
