I had to call a Kaiser Permanente pharmacy, and was put on hold for 20 minutes
I was passed back and forth between two different and vague-in-that-hold-music-way songs at seemingly random intervals, with none longer than 20 seconds

App icon "updates" when I'm trying to, for example, find Maps while driving and my home screen has suddenly turned into a puzzle that occupies texting-while-driving level brain space
UI fuckups in general all over the place. "Updates" actually being downgrades makes for a nice Jake Johansson bit, but can we just stop it please?

whoa! I got taped up a while back and my skin went absolutely nuts. I think my skin is OK with duct tape. DON'T ASK HOW I KNOW. just try it!
my late-breaking anger is about trying to figure out how to pronounce science-specific terms. I can usually find a bunch of videos of people saying shit, but they are inevitably narrated by a no-good robot, a person from india, or a person from eastern europe. no trusted sources!!!
tonight's quest is to learn how to pronounce "pol", short for polymerase. is it ilke POLE or PAUL?
I found
a lecture from the guy who got the nobel prize for solving the polymerase structure. his slides say "pol" a zillion times, but he says all four syllables of "polymerase" every. goddamned. time. FUCK! he says "angstroms" like "ankh strums" so he's not to be trusted anyway...

Admission, I've always pronounced it with five syllables ("paul/pol-e-m-are-aze.")

I laid down the law when my wife made an instagram for our cats, back when they were only kittens. It's something I absolutely will not tolerate in this house. I said that if there's one SINGLE FUCKING post with cat voice, I would divorce her and stop giving an allowance to her boyfriend.
