I used to get really mad at people who go the speed limit on long, residential roads because I lived in a small town where it would take you 10 minutes to get everywhere. Going 35 just made it seem like it would take so much longer, and it was way more fun going 50 on those roads.

Ever since I had kids, though, when I see people going 55 on my residential road that has a 35 limit, I absolutely lose my shit. Especially because we don't have sidewalks and a lot of people go for walks on those roads. I take pleasure in going the speed limit on those roads now, especially when some asshole in a Lexus pulls up behind me and kind of swerves as if they're going to pass me because I'm going "too slow". It's even funnier when they get mad that I'm going 35 toward a RED LIGHT.

Couldn't agree more, mate. Don't have kids myself, but a cat, and the neighbours have kids. When I see see a tractor or a truck going more than 30km/h in our street or any other residential road, it gets my blood boiling. People going slow only annoys the fuck out of me when it's clear they could go faster without endangering anyone. I know this sounds like a copout, but it's not... fuck scorchers.

Greg's solo shit is fucking terrible. I don't mind DEP with Greg, and I even enjoy the first Killer Be Killed (ugh, that name) album, but his solo stuff is just "I really want to be respected as an artist and 'creator'" and the songs are fucking DOGSHIT.

Some commercial I heard the other day where they were literally too cheap to use a pop filter or de-S-ing and you could hear the guy doing the voice over gasping for breath before every line.

I remember him grandstanding a few years ago when he criticized another actors admittedly stupid comments about comparing himself having a long day on set as being akin to fighting in a war or something like that, the grift probably began there. ( I forget who the other actor was.)

All I could think about at the time was how Mark had smashed some Asian guys head in with a stick while shouting racial slurs when he was around 17 and got a slap on the wrist.

Ugh, we're coming up on 20 years post-nu-metal so that shit is going to be ironically cool again and then "Bring The Noise" will be rediscovered as some mega-influential masterpiece to the second generation of nu-metal teens, and Scott will be the "metal ambassador" who can claim he created the sound.

I remember there being a rumor where he tried to copyright the NYHC logo and Raybeez and a bunch of other dudes threatening to kick his ass til he backed down #streetcourt

It was an over-reaction by hardcore kids thinking that this drawing that was copyrighted also included the nyhc logo, meaning they owned it. Basically the NYHC scene police got mad at Anthrax. I don't like Anthrax at all, but it's only because of all the music they wrote without Public Enemy.



Combining rap groups with metal/hardcore bands wasn't a nightmare until white dudes took it over completely and called it Nu Metal in the mid-ninteties. Basically right when Korn got super popular, the floodgates opened and lives were decimated instantly. Before that, it seemed more like weird one-off experiments - like the Judgement Night soundtrack. It's a terrible album but pretty amazing that it was pulled off. I'd personally like to see more crazy shit like that come back rather than the Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock nostalgia that is likely on the horizon.

Ah, there ya have it. I remember that JN album being pretty blah save Slayer/Ice-T tribute to The Exploited, but I’m too scared to go back and listen because it probably sucks also.

Some dude lecturing me on FB that the ONLY issue that decided the GA runoffs was "COVID relief and nothing else." Like, I'm happy the Democrat candidates won, I just said crediting the victory to one single issue was a bit myopic. This dude then unleashed 5 rapid-fire responses about how I'm wrong and "people don't give a fuck about anything but the money, bro." Thanks for enlightening me!
