When you're buying a coffee or a banana and 95% of the transaction time is that apprehensive child behind the till fumble-fishing out that last 15 cents of change out of the till for five minutes.

When you're making a purchase, and the fumbling, apprehensive Chris Farley substitute working the till doesn't know how to ring one item in, and smoke starts pouring out of their ears/till and you tell them "it's alright, don't bother ringing that item up" and they ignore you while you're begging them to drop it and they eventually they retrieve the manager from the command bunker, ignoring your polite desperate request to forget that one item, to figure out why that chocolate bar didn't scan and meanwhile you're 15 minute coffee break is just whipping away...

Dudes who feel the need to check their phone, do leg lifts, dumbell curls, and walk around while looking at themselves in the mirror.....all on the bench press station. I gotta start going in the mornings.

There are some people here, tourists and people who don't know what they want to do, who will ride an escalator up or down and when they get to the landing, they'll just stand there looking around as if the people behind them have anywhere else to go.

That means an otherwise pleasant 20 minute trip to the store turns into a 90 minute hell gauntlet of kids pulling merch off the shelves onto the floor, blocking aisles while playing cops & robbers or princess pisspot or whatever, staring blankly at all the colors, crowding around mommy and screaming for this or that garbage treat, risking grievous bodily harm by darting in and out of the paths of passing carts, and on and so forth.

I know, I can just shop later at night. Sometimes, but the deli, bakery and some other departments (booze!) are closed later at night. No can do.

Parents should just leave their brats at home.

Groups of three or more people who take up both sides of a pedestrian/bicycle trail. Especially when they have a dog on a leash that gives them extra blocking capacity. These people ALWAYS act like you jumped out of a dark corner wearing a ski mask and toting a hunting knife when you pass (announcing it or not), as if they were completely unaware that bikes also use the trail or that anything faster than them might pass them from behind. That's mildly satisfying enough to offset the irritation of their disorderliness. If I was less lazy and more clever I would make some videos for Youtube demonstrating what their behavior would look like if they were in a car on the road.

I can see both sides. The only way you can really get by as a bicyclist in a bigger city is if you're an asshole, however at the end of the day, you're an asshole...

Ugh, bike paths in cities are the biggest idiot magnets imaginable. When I was commuting from downtown I gave up on the seaside bike trail and just started using the road with the cars to avoid all the people walking strollers down the wrong lane, etc.
