not sure where to put this, but Phlegeton has a "black metal" band called WRONG, as in you're doing it...

Sorry, is there not one mention of Krighsu in here?

I was wondering if anyone talked about it elsewhere:
search.php?keywords=krighsu
looks like I only referenced it once in the comment repository - other references are based on the name appearing in the exodromos narrative

it's a solid album and I appreciate how it doesn't overstay its welcome, but it doesn't really have much to offer that exodromos doesn't, so it suffers from a slight sense of stagnation. the best moment on the entire record is the "swarm of bees" riff, but that happens in the first thirty seconds and it's kinda all downhill from there:
(24 second mark!)

*during the intro to this song, at like 22:08, he says "do you like the stars? do you like the sun?" and you can hear me yell "FUCK IT"

Pulsars in Rhombus Form is a real-time generative music agent with two major components: a listener and a player.

The listener takes as input and audio stream from the album Planisphærium by sci-fi technical death metal band WORMED. It identifies kick and snare drum strikes as well as vocal phrasing and communicates its findings to the player in order to trigger gestural events and compositional shifts.

The player consists of an 8-voice Max/MSP implementation of pulsar synthesis (Roads). It's parameters are controlled by various chaotic maps and stochastic methods.

Keroaän is a musical artificial intelligence developed to perform without any human intervention whatsoever. The program is a collaborative research project between Ian M Fraser and Reed Evan Rosenberg.
results are decidedly non-brutal

the last ~30s of track 5 is probably the highlight so far

edit: whole latter half (tracks 5-8) is where it's at.

that EP is good but I keep wishing they'd come back around to the warmer production of the debut album

still the smartest band in the dumbest genre, and I feel like the new drummer is a bit better than the last guy (RIP?)

Have you checked out Defeated Sanity yet? They are the apex of the genre.

They did one of the most ridiculous things ever which is they released a "split" with themselves.

Meaning they split their knuckledragging brutality with the super tight prog-tech side:

tracks 1-6: racist
tracks 7-11: sjw

There are amazing brilliant moments masked in their school-shooter brutality.

"Passages Into Deformity" is a perfect example of what Defeated Sanity is right now. There are parts that nods to Disincarnate & (old) Gorguts.

of course I know these guys but I hadn't paid any attention to that album - I don't really enjoy care for their brand of braindead slam but this hemi-album where they are doing Death worship is pretty wild
