I'm actually pretty happy to see most people call her out for shit in comments now that she writes outside of Jezebel instead of just saying, "PREACH SISTER!".

She really does think she's an oppressed minority. It's sort of mind-boggling.

1) not providing massively oversized, structurally reinforced chairs/tables/aircraft != "oppression"

and, without being 100% pedantic, with current rates of obesity,

I've always said she likes to talk like she's somehow Rosa Parks for fat people, but that line about her basically just being out in public is SUBVERSIVE absolutely cements it for me. When I think of subversive public acts I think about black people sitting at lunch counters in Jim Crow era Alabama, she thinks of being a well to do, educated fat white woman having drinks with her fiancee.

When "they" (whoever this mythical anti-fat organization happens to be) start blasting fatasses with fire hoses, and setting German Shepherds upon them for being sacks of excess adipose tissue, they might have a point.
