I was able to cram a small overdrive pedal behind another pedal in the very limited strip of space I have for pedals right now with all the band crap I have shoved into an over crowded room. This is the most exciting thing that’s happened to me all day.

The Onion fucking sucks right now. I haven't read it in a while.... good god these are unfunny. Is it just me? Were they sold to another company or something? This doesn't even hint at the spark they used to have...

i had a really small handful of memorable late night viewing experiences before i was a tweener age i guess you'd call it. shit that that is seared into my brain and i had a visceral emotional reaction toward. top 4 is probably this jack the ripper documentay, the thing, pet sematary (zelda) and this national geographic thing about whaling where they played video and audio of whales being slaughtered on the deck of a ship
it just completely ruined me

no matter what screenshot you might have posted, I probably would have thought "eh, that's just a bad cluster of stuff". put you scroll around a bit and it's ALL terrible. really, really sad.

The Onion declined so quickly that it was almost like an on/off switch. Their pieces always had a fairly rigid structure, but that was generally easy to overlook when the jokes were landing. The new stuff is so templatized that the writing is basically a mad lib; even a decent concept can't overcome the structure that they force themselves to stuff the jokes into.
oh yeah, they're seemingly INCAPABLE of passing up an unfunny "at press time..." joke to finish every piece and it genuinely angers me.

After re-watching Alien, and hearing Ash talk about the Alien's skin, now I understand why it's so hard to kill them. (It takes like 60 rounds of 10 mm explosive tipped rounds to take one down.) At first I thought it was some exoskeleton that make the Aliens so tough, but Ash started talking about their skin. He said it was a polymer blend. So that's making me think that the Alien's skin is like Kevlar, plastic strands that are interwoven with that sap they excrete. That would also make sense why the Aliens are so scared of fire, their skin has a very low melting point.
