This evening we were stuck in traffic with some asshole in a Tesla with the vanity plate WLTHMGR, and I told my wife he probably shorted Gamestop.
Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

I absolutely do not understand what happened with Gamestop, why it's bad, who did it, why they did it, why it's frightened people, who the people are who are frightened, and what could happen next. I don't understand and it's been explained to be by 2 people and I read an article. It seemed like the person who wrote the article didn't understand.
A lot of times I realize I don't understand things, and so it would be irresponsible of me to have an opinion. Then I talk to someone who understands it even less than I do, and I notice they have a very strong opinion about it. I think knowledge has become very specialized and maybe most people are just supposed to think about hamburgers and the price of gas. I don't have an opinion about it though.

This subreddit called Wall Street Bets real life trolled real life, well known, hedge fund managers, who had publicly stated that Gamestop stock was over-valued, and shorted the stock - bettting that it would go down, and all but guaranteeing it would by making their moves public.
WSB ran up the stock's price...with real money, making a ton, and also making the hedge fund managers lose a ton.
They are doing similar things with other stocks like AMC, and Nokia.
Basically (the opposite of) this in real life:
It's kind of amazing.

Hedge fund managers are the lowest form of life and deserve to die a slow agonizing death in one of Uday Hussein torture boxes but I don’t get what’s gonna happen when eventually GameStop croaks, because they are circling the drain. Are all the reddit gen-z dipshits planning to unload their stock before then?

This is the same bunch of cooks that were making and losing tens of thousands on a robinhood loophole in 2019.
Betting on stocks is always a zero sum game. You have to have someone willing to buy or sell in order for you to sell or buy.

That's a hell of a nice gain. Reminds me of when Tilray went crazy cause everyone wanted to get on 420 train.
Wait, $0.40/share on April 16? This person do partial shares? If so, then the math doesn't add up.

My daughter just went apoplectic because she couldn't rip (?) a circle (?) out of construction paper for some dumb school art thing
So I tried doing it and I gotta agree with her, that shit sucked and was damn near impossible

I never fucking understood if we were supposed to leave a white area outside the black line or if we were supposed to slice finely into the black line, leaving no white on the final product. I never understood it no matter how many times I asked. I still don't.
