IIRC, it wasn't so much that they took his blood to the crime scene but that the chain of custody was broken enough to introduce just enough doubt.

The trial was a farce but even if OJ can entertain the notion of a book on if he did it, then I'd gladly take a flawed trial that convicted him over a "textbook" trial that exonerated him. People were happy OJ beat the rap not because they thought he was innocent but to expose the hypocrisy of American justice. For crying out loud, some of the people who killed Emmett Till confessed in a magazine article and nothing happened to them, to say nothing of the cops that beat Rodney King before the federal trial.
