her last name is actually russian-sounding at least, so...? she has some heritage but where do we draw the line. I don't think she was born there but probably fought hard for her citizenship rights if that was an option. I hope someone can bring facts to make my conjecture worthless.

Nina's parents fled Russia/Georgia for Edmonton, Alberta at a very young age. Like she was 3-5 or something.
I think they didn't really pay attention to her or some shit because she has been looking to her "Russian ancestors" for guidance since she was 10. I know plenty of Russian Americans that immigrated to the US at a young age because their parents fled and NONE of them gives a shit about Russia much less create a 15 year long blog about Karl Marx and other Russian authors.
It's also likely why Richard Spencer asked if her parents would attend her funeral in the divorce court records aside from it being an overt type of death threat.
