dave's double combo with those incredible stripped down fries from wendys

I hate mayonnaise, but i know how they spit on stuff, so i just go with it

better than five guys...we're inundated w/ 5 guys here...2 places within 5 miles

Man, I've just gotten into fast food burgers in the past few years. I was a chicken sandwich kid growing up.

Wendy's burger has to be at least silver medal, if not the best.
Whopper is the primary contender IMHO, but I would be open to hearing a case for the Quarter Pounder.

5 guys is a superior experience overall, but I agree that those burgers are at least overrated. I tend to go very minimal when ordering my own food, so it's possible that 5 guys only reaches their true potential when you cover them with as much shit as the other, older chains.

Altogether though, the Burger King menu destroys the competition. Almost every fucking thing at that joint is worth paying for. I've left that drive-through with a fucking $60 receipt.

Props for sullen avoidance of mayo... I never want it, ever, but when I get it it makes my food better. I'm a waste of spinal fluid.

Double Del forever imho. Finding another person who's about the burgers at Del Taco I imagine is like being a old-timey Victorian gay. Maybe not as bad as spending sixteen years on navy ships in the hopes that somebody else greets you in polari but like, it's still rare!

double del absolutely slays dude. fucking went to del taco today and got a macho combo that tasted like cigarettes. still have half cause it sucked so much. should have fuckn doubled down

I would disqualify something as "fast food" if there's not a regular drive-thru or equivalent, as applicable. Shake Shack or Bareburger or, yes, Five Guys might make the same foods as fast food restaurants, but in no reasonable sense could it qualify as "fast food."

Vern: my logic is if I would even remotely consider a Double Del (like, unless I'm specifically getting a specific burrito because I had a very exact yen for it), I get it. It's always a great time.

I just always forget about it. Macho combo is my go to. Next time I go to del I'm totally getting a double del for sure though

If it has to have a drive-in, then Wendy’s Baconator, if not, then, probably Five Guys.

I think it's because it'd be great for fast food, but it's functionally not fast food, which means the fair comparison is to other counter service or fast casual restaurants. It's contextual!

I think I can cook Riles a better burger than any fast food joint but I'm on decade two of my own seasoning blend and I'm still tweaking it
