Welp, back to kitchell.net

But yeah, it was an awesome place for a long time, and I met a bunch of cool irl friends.

It's a trip to have been here for 20 years, but could you imagine how neat it would be when we're all literally senior citizens?

Despite the lack of forward progress, it's still fun to stumble upon old posts, and this is still one of the 4 websites I compulsively check for my worldly content.

I think we should all put more effort into the random picture thread.

We at least have to let it outlive Facebook.

Necrometer wrote: Sat Jul 06, 2019 11:16 pm hello wine guy

is old vine zin actually a thing I could like, or was that one magical first bottle I tried a fluke and most of the time it's just a nonsense claim? like I wouldn't be surprised if you said "all zin is old vine" or "old vine is just code for 'we added less/more sugar' to this batch" or something like that. also what about primitivo.

i know you were looking forward to quickly sidling away into a lurky retirement but THE FUTURE OF THE BOARD IS ON THE LINE
The answer is there is no legal definition of old vine, to some people that could be 25 years old or 100 years old to other people. Vines that are older than 50 would definately add quality to the wine. All zinc is definitely not all old vine, but it could also be a specific producer you had and really liked or a very good vintage.

I hope I have saved the board!
If there's ever a need for a pretentious wine opinion, I'm here. Also, if there's ever a need to pair a TJ's wine with a California burrito, I'm here. Basically, I like wine. Also, basketball, Toilet Feet has great takes.

To be. I don't post on here nearly as much as I should but this board and all of the people who post on it, even the shitty posters, mean so much to me. I really wish everyone still posted here and not on FB or now MeWe or whatever. Thanks Leon and Kevin for letting us have our little corner after the old board died. Damn this thread has me in my feelings for sure.

Hello, old friends. Hi, Leon! I haven't been here in years, and I shut down all my social media a couple years ago, so online life has been nil for me. But boy do I have tons of great memories here. Lots of hilarity, egotism, brotherhood, random cruelty, support. I like to think this place will always exist, like an old neighborhood where I know how the trees smell. Hope you all are doing well.

Well that tears it, I guess. If it's the only place I can even get a hint of Widener, then I suppose I can't destroy it.

are you suggesting that people are mining the RD thread for content? like, to roll out 'round the water cooler or - god forbid - on twitter?

me at a cocktail party: who asked you, Abigail Wrestlin' ? :feels deep shame:

My entire post history is 100% shit that I think in real-life situations, but can't say because it's too mean.
