You know that's really what it is. Brad Pitt's character is the personification of everything Chad hates about America.

Anyway, serious answer: the only Tarantino movie I really didn't like was the first Kill Bill. The way Tarantino references or outright steals from other movies usually works for me because he blends things in a way where it ends up being interesting or new or at least amusing, but Kill Bill was just an American making a 70s Kung Fu flick without the authenticity.

At the same time, though, the only Tarantino movies I've watched more than once are Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

I’m actually intrigued by where he’ll end up when he gets older. His directing/writing style has gone from aping gruff crime dramas to grind house to spaghetti westerns. If he’s following a time line will he end up with something akin to a John Carpenter adventure?

Dont think we'll get that man unfortunately. He's been talking for years about retiring after his tenth major feature, and it seems lately like he really means it. That means that Star Trek will be the last, assuming that happens.

He talked years ago about doing a giallo style horror, but i don't think we'll get that lucky.

He definitely should've done a real horror. Weept.

Instead of Carpenter I almost wrote slasher film. But, yes, an Argento style one would actually be something I see him doing, as I backtracked from it since Friday the 13th and such seemed too pedestrian for him.

I joke around a lot by saying stupid stuff (even stupider than what I really think), when I do it in real life, I mostly get blank stares. Not sure why it bothers you.

The other day I gut stung by a sting ray. This hurts real bad and the only relief is sitting around with your foot in a bucket of near-boiling hot water at the lifeguard HQ. Anyways, this other DAD was sitting next to me with his foot in scalding water too, wincing, and I turn to him and I say "At least we're immune now" and he was like "umm.... I don't think it works that way" (blank stare)
