you don't have to edit the title of the thread, but it would make me happy

I think this is one of the best cartoon songs ever. I thought Superman was too old-fashioned when I was a kid, but I still ran around in the woods playing this music in my head.

If we ever found the throne of God out in space, I know he would expect us to play this music inside the spaceship while we looked out the window.
It simultaneously makes me think of something very old but indescribably powerful, and makes me remember the smell of my pop-pops basement with the taste of cheap potato stix (love).

This one is very simple but extraordinarily beautiful. I know a lot of people have very good reasons to not like the Zack Snyder movies, but I think they absolutely nailed the music and visual stuff they were going for.





If you play the centerpiece-chord (I don't know real music words) of this in a flat normal way, your hand makes the theme from the original Superman movie. It's buried in there, and also kinda stays as the keystone of the music without ever actually revealing itself. It's too compressed like all Hans Zimmer but it's still gorgeous.

I think the piano part at the beginning also references Also Sprach Zarathustra from 2001 Space Odyssey (Strauss), making an intentional through-line from Nietzsche, through Superman, through 2001, and back to Superman. It only comes out if you keep playing the melody naturally, the last part is left out here in an annoying an obvious way. It's like "Hey what's missing here? Oh yeah don't give up, you found it, keep going until we get to the next step."

I love Wendy’s, like, LOVE Wendy’s. But Chad I’m going to need you to get motherfucking, cunting real if you’re seriously claiming that a Wendy’s burger is better than a Five Guys burger. Per dollar it might be a better value, but just the two burgers are sitting on a table and they belong to a guy who isn’t looking, and I can steal a bite of only one of them ?
