Basically, John and Embalmer had a deal to make the album but not merch and he wasn't paying them for merch. He claims he was recouping costs for the album by selling merch. Something along those lines. Its been 15 years.

at one point I had a fraud-report on this guy in an envelope addressed to the IRS... there were print-outs of ebay screenshots etc. I never sent it though. filling it out was still a bit satisfying.

Hah! One of the problems with internet terms is there often aren't many synonyms for them, so it's very hard to not use the same word many times inside a single sentence. I'm sure someone has probably invented a term to describe that phenomenon, of course.
