When I first heard about RM, it was all about how his dark myserious seductive magic had weird white women all woozy and he had jail GFs, even though he was a granny raper. One of my GFs in high school would write 'see you in Disneyland' on her hand and stuff.

If he was my coworker or whatever, I might even assume he was of above-average intelligence unless he demonstrated otherwise. This is based on a totally cursory fake reading of course, you can't tell shit from this side of a jail interview camera... just a weird cycle of conflicting interpretations.

I also absolutely love AC/DC and I sometimes feel like I don't trust people who love rock music, but look down on their classic material. It's really genuine stuff, commercial as it is. Beats the ever-loving shit out of Van Halen or Aerosmith or whatever. The connection between rock music and the devil of freedom and self-indulgence is a strange thing that's hard to understand sometimes. I figure people like RM and the dumbfuck kids I grew up with probably just noticed that it had the power to scare people, and were fascinated by that... people were really fucking scared of whatever was embodied in that music.
