not sure about authorial intent on the placement of the bad news
- that's the back of the paper - is the idea that only we see that info? I think it has to be. but I can't help thinking that it wasn't thought about, or the audience wouldn't be trusted to deduce that part.
it reminds me of a skit on sesame street where one muppet has a beverage in a cup and the other is like "can I have half" and the one with the drink says "sure" and then the asker drinks ALL OF IT. "why did you drink it all?" "because my
half was on the bottom!" - brilliant troll move you can do when you're 10 and feel like a king of pranks, right? BUT since they're muppets, they had to drink through a straw to facilitate things, which means the bottom half would be consumed first. FILM FLUB!
