Lady bugs are good luck, so they're probably just regular bugs.

About 15 years ago they introduced Asian Beetles in this area to get rid of some grasshopper type bug eating crops as well as Gypsy Moths that were destroying trees. Now we have milliosn of these things that come out whenever it gets cold and warms back up a bit. You literally have to use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of them. Fuckers bite too. Look exactly like regular lady bugs, just with a pissy attitude.
