I'm not into violent sex or porn or anything like that...I've just been noticing how much more common it has been getting. My problem with it is not exactly sociological or whatever...like all (most) porn there's no real passion or feeling in it so it's terrible on that level, but what I find the most irritating (not "disturbing") is that it takes the falsity of porn to a new level of simulation, where even if the actresses ARE getting hurt they have to pretend not to be. Falseness on top of falseness to flirt with the hypocrisy of the viewer. I have no problem with people who enjoy watching women being hurt on an aesthetic level (even if I think they are miserable cowards), I view with disgust the buyer/consumer/watcher of these scenes who wants to watch people being hurt but has to keep pretending it's not happening...even if they ARE being hurt and the viewer knows it but can pretend, given the "out" delivered by bad acting, that none of it is real.
