How do you like this? And also, how would you describe their sound to someone who's never heard them before?Bored001 wrote: Ascension - Fire and Faith

Re: Post your playlists!!
I hope you didn't write off that second Weapon record because I think they really grew into their sound by the time of that one, I was so impressed I had to get Drakonian Paradigm and give it a second listen, but From the Devil's Tomb is all right, if you know what I mean.
Did you get a chance to hear the Cultes des Ghoules/Faustcoven split 7"? I can't remember which band did it but I swear to Eris they perfected the blending of black metal and late 70's post punk. You would love it then hate it.

It's okay. To me it sounds like a much less talented The Chasm. Some cool riffs in there, though.

I don't think so, I'll check it out.

What's the next best Chasm record after the Spell of Retribution, that record was massive to ingest all at once.Bored001 wrote:>I hope you didn't write off that second Weapon record because I think they really grew into their sound by the time of that one, I was so impressed I had to get Drakonian Paradigm and give it a second listen, but From the Devil's Tomb is all right, if you know what I mean.

I don't know...I guess people here would say the new one. I guess I always got them mixed up with some other band I didn't want to hear.

Re: Post your playlists!!
Isn't it weird that it's the same dudes from Bestial Raids? Couldn't sound any more different. They have a sweet 7" named 'Odd Spirituality' that pushes the agenda but you have to hear their track from that split with Faustcoven. It's OOP, right?noah thirteen wrote:Fuck, I LOVED the ever living fuck out of Haxan...... great band!!Turd Murder wrote:Cultes des Ghoules

Re: Post your playlists!!
That Cultes Des Ghouls and Faustcoven split is so bad... Faustcoven sounds like 12 year olds trying to play alice in chains slowed down to half time and Cultes Des Ghouls sounds like the worst soundtrack to the worst Bam Margera directed movie you could ever conceive of.
