I was going to mention that too but my 10th grade English teacher popped into my head when I thought about it. If memory serves correct, he was explaining to a student that referenced, I think Mark Twain as an excuse for getting a bad grade. Saying if Mark Twain can misspell words, why do I get a bad grade for doing it.
I could hear the teacher saying, "well difference is Mark Twain knew the rules of grammar and chose to break them for effect. You on the other hand don't know the rules. Once you know the rules you can break them and get away with it."
