I was trying to finish Castlevania - Sympohnies of the Night with no walkthru, made ~90% finished, beat Belmont and was expecting the inverted castle to start. Nope! So I peak into the walkthru to see how to trigger the inverted castle .. fuck, they sure don't make em like this anymore. do you think anyone figured out all of the secrets in C:SOTN without reverse-engineering the game?

I love/hate how there is just some shit that doesn't do anything. Like in the gear (clock?) tower, you can hit some of the gears along the wall and they spin slightly. Does that do anything? I have no fucking idea!

you can't actually "beat" Mario Bros. on Nintendo, can you? doesn't it just repeat over and over, but the second and subsequent times are even more retardedly difficult?

I highly recommend doing this anyways. Also, Mario 3, no warp whistles is fun.

I hate the fact that so much of this game is ruined for me. Thankfully I'm not watching hat stream. Fucking boredom :(

:what: This is probably the biggest game with the least amount of media released this year.

The one I'm watching is only the Golden Claw quest Bethesda already revealed. I just want to see some non-marketing footage.

Still, I wish I didn't know it. One of the reasons I loved Oblivion was I knew nothing about it, so that's what made it so great. These little things make all the more bothersome that I know it.

You did it to yourself dummy. I don't know dick about any quests
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007

for like 10-15 hours until it turns into repetitive bullshit.

objectively, i know a lot of people enjoyed it. if you're really into the story and setting, you'll probably enjoy it. for me it had GTA4 syndrome where my enjoyment wore off and it just turned into a tedious slog by the time i got halfway through mexico. didn't even finish the game. the last time i didn't finish a game i paid $60 for was GTA4, so i might just be disinclined to like rockstar games.

Pisscubes wrote:Actually... I'd LIKE to hear about some sky rim quests. All I've seen so far is "dragon screaming" and the animals you can fight.
that's all i know too, and also some of the changes made to the interface and basic gameplay things. but for me the best part about oblivion was encountering cool side quests (like the artist lost in the painting, sleeping at an inn and having pirates take it out to sea, etc.), so i'm fine with that.

considering how many previews i'm read i'm sorta surprised how little i know actually.

also, can anyone with any technical knowledge explain how a game like skyrim is one disc while rage is two? (i know it had three but one is for multiplayer so i don't count that) i know higher-resolution textures take up more space, but i assume skyrim has a ton of dialogue, a much larger world, etc. i don't get how they do it.

It comes with Undead Nightmare too, and the thought of shooting zombies in the Old West REALLY appeals to me.
