it's about what you would expect but the cinematic scenes where you are getting chased or have to escape are so fucking good.

the first two hours are actually somehow boring though for the most part, but once it gets going it is pretty awesome

I think he just wasn't blown away by it. I think it's a fair review and very standard for an AV review. Eurogamer got a ton of flak for giving it such an awful score (8/10) despite giving perfectly valid complaints while praising the game for it's strengths. It's probably one of the better reviews I've read this year.

part of the fun of games like dark souls and skyrim is coming to the board and comparing notes on your different experiences and commiserating with your peers in shared struggle, which is a significant reason to get it on the day of

uncharted is going to be the exact same game and experience whether i play it now or in a year

I tried to pick up Skyrim early today. My plan, since i don't even need to play it right away, was to get a copy and overnight it to GOTB! But alas, dude would not sell me one yet. bah. He was talking about how he feared the wrath of Bethesda...but I got New Vegas early and they didn't give a fuck. whatever.
