are we talking about different things and I'm like that guy who just wanders into the movie theater asking what the story is about? i'm operating on the assumption that she might have shown some kind of interest in him no matter how minimal, then decided to set up a fling and had him drive her to it under the pretense that she needed to a ride to visit a family member. seeing as she couldn't bother to tell the truth (and thus probably not get a ride), I don't think it's so horrific that he found this shit and posted something like "I'm a slut" on a message board and her Facebook. It's stupid, mean, and probably a good sign that he's too wrapped in his emotions to do the right thing or see the situation clearly, but not horrific.

If I'm missing anything significant let me know though because I'm not trying to defend this guy. It's just that this board probably has done more horrific and mean shit to other people than this, even if they do "deserve it" in some bizzaro way, or somehow imagine that they do.

Actually, according to one of the versions posted by FailPhil his very self (on OKC, iirc), she told him she wasn't interested in him, then got him to drive her to get a dicking from some other dude under false pretenses. In other words, whatever he thought this whole thing was had been broken off at that point. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but to me that's the one significant detail that makes it so not even the "jilted nice guy" voice in my head can find a way to somehow spin this into evil cunt behavior.

But I don't know about "horrific", either - whether intentionally or not, what he did was completely transparent and really only made him look like a giant douche. If you have access to someone's FB and OKC profiles, there's all manner of stuff you could do that's really damaging, and he just posted a sad little rant that was 100% obviously from him and not her. It's just pathetic.
