I think they mostly inhabit warmer areas? I don't remember seeing many (if any) in that region but I can't remember. And I normally really dislike birds but pelicans are rad and just loaf around not caring about anything.

We have pelicans certain times of the year. I can sometimes see them diving in the lake* from my window.

Re: NOT SO FAST, Jimmy Buffet Fan: The Thread
Despite living in Florida for a million years and seeing pelicans every single day, it was only last year that I actually saw some of those white pelicans that you see in cartoons. It was at a bird sanctuary, and they were fucking HUGE! I'm talking twice the size of the normal pelicans, easy. I think it's a regional bird or something, kind of how there are "west coast seagulls" and "east coast seagulls" (with the exception being Atlantic City, where both standard and jumbo seagull variations live in apparent relative harmony). Ross knows what I'm talking about—in SF, seagulls are the size of small turkeys!

A girl I was helping at work talked in kind of a weird slow way and I assumed she was a tad dumb. She was actually born in Russia and super smart spoke 5 languages and had a second job as a medical tech. Her speech patterns where part of her accent. Jofa ist me

From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.
