i beat them solo.

doad: what level are you? do you have pyromancy?

it took me a whole shit-ton of hours just to beat them. like three or four eight hour shifts. sure i ran back and grinded the however many hundreds of thousands of souls to get my pyromancy ascended and did a few other things but i fought them SO many times before i beat them. i would say you need at least an ascended pyro glove, if not a +5 pyro glove. you also should have chaosball, great fireball, and fire orb.

when fat fuck goes super sayain its sort of easy to keep him on the other side of a column and pick him apart if you're really really REELY REELY patient

it was actually sort of stress free once you get his rhythm

do you have the dark wood grain ring ? if not go get it and the black hemmed gear. that shit will make the fight a lot easier. definitely saved me from another two or three full shifts

DOAD, definitely get a faster weapon. you could make the furysword at the giant blacksmith. it's faster than the gravelord sword, and ornstein is pretty weak to fire. its worth a shot, plus you'll want to make the furysword at some point anyway.

ornstein is also really susceptible to poison (maybe smough too, never tried). you can cheese the fight somewhat easily by hitting him with two or three arrows, and then just keeping him in your sights and walking backwards around the room, getting a few quick hits in every now and then, and looking out for whenever smough makes a sudden move.

and definitely use the pillars + whatever ranged attack you have once one of them is dead. IIRC that works well for both super visions of either O or S

I think I'm saving this game for my final "new" 360/PS3 I ever play. When the new consoles come out and they stop supporting the current with games. One boss battle taking up my entire week's worth of gaming time, if I can beat them... that's just crazy.

also if you summon solaire and another player you can beat them in like 2 minutes

but pisscubes is in another thread talking about getting duke nukem forever, so i think a line in the sand has been drawn

Jesus, man, the Four Kings are fucking devastating in NG+. I had pretty much no trouble at all with them in the first playthrough, but now, uh, *squish*.
