Someone where I work left their car running and unattended with their kids inside not too long ago. That's a good way to get your car and kids stolen round cheah. A couple dudes tried to steal a truck with my girlfriend sleeping inside it once.

I came to the realization today that I'm a masochist. Not in a sexual way, though I'm sure I could derive pleasure from that if I chose to. These have been the past few shittiest months in one of the shittiest years I've had in a long time. After enduring impact after blow to my ego and my physical bodyyy, shortly after every single instance I would feel this incredibly peaceful calm almost narcotic at it's root. Surely endorphins were partly to blame, in those instances where I was physically injured, but those times where my agony was purely mental I could sense the differences where endorphins were absent, and similarities where this other nameless ghost molecule induced in me that feeling of nirvana. Some shadowed, self-destructive, self-obsessed eye-of-the-storm shelter from a cyclone of bullshit. I'm not sure I like where this is going.

So three semesters ago I started teaching a film class at a university. Not to suck my own dick, but facts are facts: Since I took it over, it has become really popular to the point where even after raising the cap on how many students can sign up, it still fills up within an hour of registration being posted. So I suggest they add another section-- then I get to teach TWO classes. They think it's a great idea! Unfortunately there is apparently a full time prof who is having trouble getting people to sign up for his class and since the school is contractually obligated to make sure said prof gets at least a couple classes per semester, they are having that prof teach the second section of my class.

This is happening in my department. We have one lecturer who is the reason we have any undergraduate majors at all, and she's not even listed on the website. Meanwhile, I've heard professors state publicly that they don't even want undergraduate majors because then you have to teach them.

She was with my mom this morning and drifted off, unresponsive, then came back to and mom hugged her and told her she loved her and she said it back, and then she left.

She was one of the best people ever in my life.
