Rockets nabbed Ariza for a pretty good deal ($8 mil)... still doesn't address a dire need at PF and PG. Terrible... I'll even take Carlos Boozer at this point. Huge upgrade fundamentally/defensively speaking for what they have now.

Yeah, the Rockets kinda fucked themselves. From looking like they'd land Melo or Botch to signing Ariza and maybe keeping Parsons, that is a covered-in-your-own-shit off-season. It's great that they ditched Lin's salary, but if they end up matching Dallas on Parsons, there goes all that cash. While they're at it, they could really out-Rocket themselves and trade Howard for Amare Stoudamire.

I also want to express my white hot vitriol for the recently formed basketball subculture that is dedicated to sucking the shit out of Jeremy Lin's ass and following him around on whatever team he's on.
